From peeing in the woods to halucinating and crying at my first concert, I’m about to tell you all of the juicy details from my life so far, get ready to know more about me than you probably should. I was sitting on the bus this afternoon thinking about what I could write about tonight and then I realised, apart from my little about me section on here you don’t really know who I am, which when you think about it is quite weird because we listen to people on the internet when we don’t even know what their favourite colour is. So what better to do than tell you a few things about me so when you’re reading my blog you actually know the person on the other side of the screen.
Why did you start a blog? – I could talk for years and funnily enough my friends do get sick of me rambling to them, so to help them out I made a blog. A lot of the time I feel like people just listen to what I say out of politeness but on the internet if people don’t care about what I’m saying they can click and be gone and the people who like to listen to me will stay and I really hope that one day I can have a little community of people who enjoy what I write. If I can make one person smile or forget even for a moment about something that they are going through then, as corny as it sounds, I know that something I’ve done has helped someone else and that makes it all worth it. I can’t count the amount of times that I’ve watched someones video or read their blog post and it’s helped me forget about some things I’ve gone through and made me smile. Sorry that was super sappy lets move on to some more light-hearted things shall we.
Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed? – When it comes to my closet I don’t really mind because my closet is pretty small anyway but I CAN NOT sleep with my bedroom door open!! It all started a few years ago when I had a nightmare about someone being in my house (intruders are one of my worst fears), I woke up crying and I ran to my parents room (massive baby over here). I started telling them what happened and I swear I hallucinated that a person was standing in the hallway watching me in the dark, I screamed at the top of my lungs and fell on the floor in a crying heap. Looking back on it now it’s pretty funny but it still freaks me out and ever since then I have never slept with my bedroom door open. Also please tell me I’m not the only one who does the run and jump from my door to my bed and scramble to get under the covers haha.
Would you bury hidden treasure if you had some? – I guess if I lived in the pirate days I would but we’re living in 2016 people. If I had treasure right now I would travel all around the world then buy a house in London and put the rest (if there is any left over) into savings. To be honest I’ve never really understood the appeal of burying treasure, what if you never find it again (X makes the spot isn’t that trustworthy)? Why wouldn’t you keep it on you at all times to make sure its safe, because if the pirate movies say anything it’s that people always try to find the buried treasure, pirate code or something. It Always puzzled me, anyway I don’t think that question needed that much detail but oh well.
Whats the first concert you ever went to? – I’m not going to count the concerts I went to when I was 5 because even though I’m sure the wiggles were poppin I don’t really remember them all that well. The first “big” concert I went to was One Direction last year. I had too many feelings at that concert, it was the last time I’d ever get the chance to see one direction with its full five members (rip Zayn) and when your right there in the same arena with five of the worlds biggest (and most attractive) stars you can really control your feelings and I may have shed a few *hundred* tears. Also I couldn’t listen to any of their songs for no joke five months after because they made me feel really sad and happy at the same time and my little brain just could not handle it all, but don’t worry I’m now officially over that weirdness and happily jam out to 1D all day and all night.
Were you ever a girl scout? – Hell Yeah! But here in Australia we call them Girl Guides. I was a Patrol leader for a certain amount of that time and I thought I was the coolest little eleven year old on this planet (I certainly was not the coolest, the most embarrassing maybe). Honestly if you’re still young enough to do girl guides then just join, it was so much fun and it really helped me come out of my shell and just accept myself in all my weird glory.
Have you ever peed in the woods? – …yes, but hold on this totally links to the last question. Basically we had to go on this camp for girl guides and to get to the camp we had to walk like 25 km (because apparently cars aren’t a thing in the girl guide world). Obviously at some point in that 10+ hours I was going to need to pee, now if you don’t already know Australia is filled with bush, so on our walk we were not graced with the presence of toilets (as we were literally in the middle of bush land) so we all had to just go and dig a hole and pee in it (tmi sorry I’ll stop).. personally was not a fan of the roughing it lifestyle but I survived and here I am.
Well now you know a little bit more about me. I had so much fun thinking back to all the little stories that went along with the questions and hopefully you found them somewhat entertaining. I might do a little Q&A every now and then so you can get to know me even better. Thank you so much for reading and I will talk to you again really soon ♥
Love Sophie xx
P.s. my favourite colour is blue.
