BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer

Fair & Light

I think it’s possible that I’ve finally found my favourite concealer!! Since I started using the Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer from BECCA I’ve been enjoying putting my makeup on each morning so much more. I can’t really say whether this is the best high-end concealer out there because it’s the first one I’ve tried, I can tell you one thing, I am officially obsessed with this concealer and that won’t be changing anytime soon!!

Over the past few years I’ve had the worst luck when it comes to concealers, all the drugstore ones I’ve tried just haven’t been perfect for me, although I’m still on the hunt for a fab one from the drugstore so if you have one that you love please let me know. From too thick to absolutely 0 coverage I just haven’t found one that works… that is until now.

Lets start off with the packaging, it’s very sleek and high-end looking, not that it really matters but I’m always a sucker for pretty packaging. It has a clear bottom half which is pretty standard for concealers and a shiny metallic bronze top which is gorge!! On the bottom it has the little labels which tell you the shades, the two shades I have are fair and light.

The applicator is really lovely, it’s a rounder and larger doe foot applicator and manages to pick up just the right amount of product to cover my under eyes.

The Light shade has more yellow undertones, whereas fair has pink undertones, although once on the skin its hard to notice. I do find that light counteracts the darkness of my under eyes a little bit better but if you do have pale skin I would recommend fair. There are a total of 9 shades.

Light on the top & Fair on the bottom

Ok now onto the most important part, the formula. I love the formula of this concealer!! It provides medium coverage which is perfect for the under eyes as it doesn’t look cakey, it just looks super natural and flawless. It blends like an absolute dream and provides a semi-matte look, not matte and dry, just like your skin but better matte. I tested this concealer by wearing it for a day with no powder over the top to see how much it would crease and I was happily surprised, when I got home there was only some very minimal and hardly noticeable creasing under my eyes. The concealer hadn’t worn off dramatically throughout the day which is great because no one wants to leave the house with perfect makeup only to come home and find its magically disappeared. Also another thing to note is how hydrating this concealer is, all the other concealers I’ve tried seemed to dry my under eyes out terribly, this concealer on the other hand leaves my under eyes feeling hydrated and smooth, I guess that’s why its called Aqua Luminous (it definitely lives up to the name).

I know this review was pretty short but I wanted to give you all the details as simply as possible. I always find concealer reviews to be a little too lengthy and I have to search for all the key points to see whether I actually want to buy it. If you’ve been considering this concealer I definitely recommend it!! It is a little on the pricey side but if you want to treat yourself to a top-notch concealer then go for it, you won’t regret it. I also apologise for how many times I said concealer in this post, yep I noticed it too haha.

I was very kindly given these concealers from my mums friend, her daughter is a makeup artist. I was in no was sponsored to write this post though, mums friend had no need for the concealers and knew I loved makeup so gave them to me. xx

Lovely post and photos as always! This concealer sounds and looks amazing! I currently use the collection lasting perfection concealer in the shade ‘fair’ which I love and has great coverage but it can crease a bit. I struggle to find concealers that are light enough for me as they are usually too orange so I’ll definitely look into if I can get this in the Uk xx

I love the collection lasting perfection but I find as well that it can crease a lot during the day and personally I find it a little drying (I do have dry undereyes in general though) definitely give it a go if you can find it, they have a lighter shade than the lightest I have which could work well xx thank you for reading
