MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!! I cannot believe how fast december has gone by and it’s so close to christmas I can smell the gingerbread. I spent today wrapping presents and running around my house dancing to Christmas songs, luckily I was home alone this morning so I plugged my laptop into the tv and turned the music up so loud I swear you could hear it from the North Pole.
Blogmas has sadly come to an end, I don’t know whether to be happy that I managed to post every day or sad that now I don’t get to write christmas posts and share them with you everyday. A few months ago when I thought of the idea to do 12 Days of Blogmas I honestly didn’t think I could put a post up each day, I hadn’t been the most consistent blogger in the past so this was a big challenge for me, yet here I am typing this up on the 12th day. Before I felt as though my blog had come to a stand still and I was lost as to where to go next but now I feel like I’ve finally found my place here on my blog and I have so many exciting things planned for the future. I also feel like now I know that if I work really hard I can put posts up on a consistent schedule, so expect things to be a lot more smoothly running here in the future.
Christmas is not only a time of giving but also receiving, I know that sounds odd because it’s usually the other way around but hear me out. Every year we’re told to give and not expect to receive anything in return or that we shouldn’t be excited to receive only to give but I somewhat disagree with this. I believe we should all be excited to receive love and happiness not only at christmas but all year round. Everyone gets so caught up on what we’re told to be like and act like that we often forget that each one of us deserves love and happiness.
To spread a little bit of love and happiness this christmas I wanted to share with you all a few photos I took of my dog Abbi today, while they aren’t much I hope it can put a smile on your face this christmas if you’re feeling down or just to give you a little extra happiness boost (plus they were too cute not to share).
Finally I just want to say how truly thankful I am for all of you reading and supporting me, this year was tough and I felt as though I just kept slipping down no matter what I did until one day I decided to start a blog and I never looked back (sounds cheesy but it’s true). I feel like I finally have a place after feeling lost for what feels like forever and it’s all thanks to you. I hope you all, no matter where you are, have a safe and wonderful Christmas.
With all my love, Sophie x
