Ever since I was little I’ve loved fireworks, they’re like giant explosions of glitter that fill the sky. Every year on New Years & Australia Day there’s huge firework displays and every year since I was little I’ve pretty much gone to all of them. Although fireworks are amazing you can only get so close to them and they only happen a few times a year so the next best option… Sparklers!! They’re like amazing little fireworks you can hold. When I was little I’d run around the garden with a trail of golden sparks following me and to this day if you give me a sparkler you can guarantee I’ll start spinning while watching the trail of sparks follow. Even thought sparklers aren’t strictly a christmas thing there’s something about them that instantly make me think of the festive season so I knew that this would be a perfect post for blogmas. Issy and I had too much fun taking all these photos and I’m so excited to share them with you all.
I’ve never taken sparkler photos before and I didn’t expect them to turn out well at all but I’m so happy with how they came out. If you get the chance to grab a sparkler and just twirl around for a bit even without taking photos please do, it sounds silly but it was so fun to just not worry, even if it was only for a few minutes.
If you’d like to take some of your own sparkler photos but are unsure how to set up your camera the settings I used were: ISO: 100, Aperture: 7.1, Shutter speed: 15″ (I used this setting for writing my name however this will vary depending on what you are writing/drawing).
As always thank you for reading, I can’t thank you enough for how happy you all make me with the constant love and support. I’ll talk to you tomorrow for blogmas day 4!!
