Not Your Average Jeans Wishlist

For years every brand seemed to play it safe with jeans, skinny low-rise were the style for most of the 2000’s then everyone started loving high-waisted and the internet lost its mind when mom jeans came back into fashion a few years ago. Being completely honest I’m bored, I’m bored of wearing the same pair of jeans that are just plain and understated (if thats your thing then go for it but I want to start wearing some more fun and outgoing styles).  I’m not only feeling this way about jeans, something flipped in me a while ago and I’ve been loving styles that few people wear for the fear of “not being able to pull it off”, sure I probably can’t pull it off either but I just don’t care. Fashion is so fun for me, who cares if I get some funny looks walking around in jeans similar to the good old Jnco jeans from the 90’s, I’m not hurting anyone by wearing the clothes that make me feel good so I’m just going to keep wearing what I want and creating wishlist after wishlist of new clothes I *need*.

I was scrolling on ASOS last night through all 33 pages of jeans and I managed to find 24 that I loooooved, but for the sake of this post not being as long as an essay I narrowed it down to the 5 that I would buy right now if I had the money. These definitely aren’t your average jeans, I’ll always love my mom jeans with their simple no frills design but these 5 are all so different in their own way and they’re sure to make a statement which is why I need all of them in my wardrobe right now!!

>>Pair 1<<

The first pair are hands down the cutest jeans I have ever seen. They’re a simple high-waisted mid-wash pair but the peplum detail on the ankle tied with little bows is just too adorable to handle. I instantly loved these as they’d be perfect to chuck on to go out to lunch with a simple tee and some sneakers while still having a little bit of extra something something, without it being too in your face.

>>Pair 2<<

Okay, okay, I know these jeans are vv different but I just fell in love with them!! I’m definitely going to save up to hopefully buy these ones (they’re pretty expensive so it’ll take a while). They’re the type of jeans you could wear all year ’round with any top and they’d still go plus they’re just so cool! Everyone’s going to have different opinions about them, but hey I like them so I don’t care if other people think they’re too out there.

>>Pair 3<<

These are the most classic jeans on the list, they’re just a pair of high-waisted slim mom jeans. I often find that my mom jeans from topshop can be a bit too baggy and when I pair them with a t-shirt I can look kind of frumpy which is why I like these ones from Asos. They still have relaxed look and the comfort of mom jeans while not being overly baggy, plus I love the rips in the knees. I feel like I’m lacking in the lighter jeans department so these would fill that gap perfectly!!

>>Pair 4<<

Bum rips?! I first saw the now infamous bum rips while scrolling through instagram, I spotted Kylie Jenner rocking a pair, I instantly knew this was going to be the next trend and I’m digging it. Would I ever wear them out..? It depends, they’re not the type of jeans you wear to lunch with your family but if I was going to a party I reckon I could get away with it. I don’t know why I like them so much but I do, who knows one day you might see me walking around in jeans with rips right under my bum but for now they’ll stay on my wish list.

>>Pair 5<<

The fifth and final pair are these amazing corset waist wide leg jeans which again I just absolutely love, they’re sooo different and I just love them!! These are more in my price range at around $70, still expensive and it’ll take a bit of time to save but in my opinion they’re worth every penny. They’re everything I need in a pair of jeans and ahhhh can you tell that I’m smitten, who needs a boyfriend when there are super edgy jeans coming out everyday to fall in love with right?! Keep an eye out, hopefully I’ll be doing an outfit post with these jeans if I get my hands on them.

I get that most people wont be loving the majority of these jeans, but I love pushing the boundaries that’s been set for fashion. People limit what they wear because they’re worried about what other people will think of what they’re wearing but I’m going to step out in a pair of funky af jeans and walk right past the people who think my clothes are too different for them!! I wear what I love because I think I look fly in it not what everyone else thinks I should wear just so I blend in. Wear what you love because at the end of the day if you’re happy and confident people aren’t even going to care what you’re wearing. (If you want some more good vibes when it comes to what you wear then you can check out the post I did all about it >>wear what makes you happy<<)

Also a few of these jeans are running low in stock on Asos so if you love a particular pair you might want to get in quick xx. (Just click on the title above each photo to go to the page of the jeans).

Love the variety of jeans! I’m really into just high waisted jeans and don’t tend to go for statement jeans. I should give it a go one day and see if I like them. Lovely post as always! Have a great day x
