Summer is a little over a month away and I’ve never been so ready to have two whole months of sleep, tv and the beach!! My wardrobe right now is a mess, nothing works together and I have hardly any summer clothes so I’ve been doing my digging and I’ve found 8 different pieces of clothing that are definitely on my wish list to hopefully update my summer wardrobe. I tried to narrow it down to my two favourite things from each store and this was not easy when my wish lists are overflowing with clothes I love but I think I’ve picked some pieces that are really cool and would work well together. I love online shopping because you get to scroll trough pages and pages of clothes in bed! Can it get any better than that?! Anyway I’ve rambled enough so let’s get straight into the clothes…
I adore both of these pieces, they both have that boho vibe which is perfect for summer. I can imagine throwing the Pippa Crochet Top over my bikini for a relaxed look but still super stylish or wear a bralette underneath. Lately I’ve been obsessed with mustard everything!! The playsuit is so cute with the embroidered detailing and longer sleeves, I think it would be perfect for going to the beach because its easy to put on over your bikini if you need to go out somewhere after the beach, it’s one of those things that are easy to dress up too with some cute shoes and jewellery.
I love Asos, it’s probably my favourite online clothing store, the variety and quality is amazing and the prices are incredible too!! This was definitely the hardest to narrow down to just two items so I might have to do a whole Asos Wish List post later on. I really like the straw fedora, its casual and super easy to wear with literally everything plus the brim isn’t too big and floppy so it won’t be constantly in your face which I really like. I am in love with culottes and I know I’m not the only one because I’ve been seeing them all over the blogging world. These floral culottes from Asos are really pretty, Most of the culottes I’ve seen are one solid colour but I really like the floral print of these the model dressed them up with some heels and a strappy cami top but you could also easily dress these down with some sandals and a loose T-shirt.
I found these jeans and I know what your thinking “Sophie there’s a huge rip in the back of those jeans, why would you want them?!” and a few months ago I would have laughed at the thought of me wearing them but it’s now surprisingly a trend to have a rip right near your bum (started by none other than Kylie Jenner) and I’m kind of feeling it. Would I ever actually wear these? I don’t know, but I do think that they could be cool if I could pull them off. They’re on my wish list, but for now I’ll play it safe and go with my mom jeans from TopShop. I am in desperate need for a new swimsuit for this summer and I’ve looked everywhere for one that I’d actually feel comfortable in, and this swimsuit is one of the only ones I’ve seen and could actually imagine myself wearing. I love the colour, I’m really into blush/muted rose colours recently and this swimsuit is no exception. One of my biggest insecurities is my thighs and hips and now days most of the one piece swimsuits are cut really high on the leg and I think it looks fab on most people but I just don’t feel 100% comfortable wearing a style like that, which is another reason I love this swimsuit. The legs aren’t cut too high but it’s still super flattering. The tie up detailing is lush because it adds a more pretty and girly element to an otherwise quite plain swimsuit.
Finally we have Missguided. The dress is beautiful, it’s a silk wrap dress and the colour is stunning, this would look amazing with a tan!! I love how the model had her hair all wavy and textured, I’d probably wear my hair in a similar style if I was wearing the dress to make it a little more casual and give it a more laid back vibe, but if you were going to a fancy party a sleek undo would also look perfect. The bodysuit is wayy out of my comfort zone, I usually stick to baggy oversized t-shirts but I think it looks so effortlessly cool and chic. It’s like the jeans, I love the idea of it but whether or not I could actually pull it off is up for debate, nevertheless its still on my wish list for summer.
These were just a few of my favourite pieces but I cloud write a post that goes on for miles with the amount of clothes I want to buy. I’d just like to mention Life as Tilly Rose because she did her Autumn/Winter Wishlist which inspired me to write this one, she has an amazing blog so you should definitely check it out. I really hope you enjoyed this little peek into my summer shopping wish list ♡.
Love Sophie xx
