I love makeup but it can be a little intimidating to be faced with hundreds of different eyeshadow shades which you then have to put into a combination that works (that can take some time if you are anything like me). Luckily I have found the perfect solution to all your eyeshadow problems. The Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad is super simple to use, pigmented, easy to blend and they have a colour combination to suit everyone’s tastes (13 different quads available online). Get ready to meet the new eyeshadow palette that will change your makeup game.
I have two of the palettes/quads, in the image above the palette on the left is Chocolate Sensation and the left is Berry Love. Each eyeshadow colour has a number on it and if you turn the palette over they have a handy little guide of where the shade goes on the eye (perfect for beginners). I adore both colour combinations as they have some neutral and darker colours (perfect for either day or night) and a nice mix of matte and shimmer, something I really look for in a palette because matte shades are more subtle for everyday wear but sometimes I feel like going a bit more fancy and putting some shimmer on as well.
Lets get straight into the my thoughts on the palettes:
Chocolate Sensation is a neutral/brown palette. The colour intensity of all shades are easy to build depending on how subtle or how intense you want the make up look to be. Shades 2, 3 & 4 are very pigmented (as seen in the swatch image below), however as shade 1 is a shimmery cream/whitem its colour payoff isn’t quite as strong but to be fair it is a light eyeshadow colour so I wasnt expecting too much pigment. The colours complement each other beautifully and they don’t turn into a brown muddy mess when you blend them.
Berry Love is one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes that I own. The colours are a mix of berry, subtle pink and a shimmery nude/gold shades. They’re girly without being too in your face pink and purple. They blend together so smoothly and give you a look that is perfect for everyday. If your going out its easy to smoke out the corners using shade 4 and get a more dramatic look. Shade 1 in this palette is a matte cream/white and its colour pay off is a lot stronger than the Chocolate Sensation palette, perfect for a lighter lid colour/base, inner corner or brow bone highlight. I would definitely recommend this palette for anyone who wants a new palette with a twist on the classing browns and nudes.
I absolutely love both palettes and as you can see in the swatches above they give an even and pigmented colour. There isn’t much I can find to fault about this product. For under $10 (I know how can palettes this amazing be so cheap!?) there’s no reason not to buy one (or 13) of these palettes. If you’re a newbie to makeup or a seasoned professional you can defiantly have some fun and create some beautiful looks with these palettes.
I hope you enjoyed my little review on these two gorgeous eyeshadow palettes by Avon. Let me know if you have or now want to get any of these palettes as I would love to know. Thank you for reading and don’t forget to follow to find out when I post!!
