More people are ditching the heels for a pair of sneakers and tight crop tops for oversized everything and I’m 100% here for it. If I have a chance to feel like I’m wearing my pjs while looking a little more stylish you better believe I’m going to take it!! Today I wanted to share with you all a few ways I mix comfort and style and how you can too.
Whats one thing that always seems to cause the most discomfort..? heels. I have slowly given up trying to wear heels, but really did I ever start? Heels are stunning and I have a few stored up in my closet but unfortunately that’s where they stay the majority of the time. Over the years people have been switching out 6 inch stilettos for midi heels which still give the look minus the pain or my personal faveeee, sneakers. All I do now days is wear sneakers, going out = sneakers, shopping = sneakers, party = sneakers, you get the picture. I’m not saying you should chuck out all your heels but every now and then give your feet a break and put on some sneakers or if your like me and wear your sneakers everywhere don’t worry, I get it, sneakers are my jam.
Oversized oversized oversized!! When it comes to comfort the trick is oversized, think mom jeans with a baggy top tied up on the side to give it a chic twist. Over the last few years I’ve seen style go from tight skinny jeans and crop tops to my all time fave mom jeans with everything oversized and I lovve it. I love the pink jumper you can see in the photos tied up on the side with a cami underneath and my mom jeans, its oh so comfy but it still looks like I’ve made an effort.
If your outfits a little more on the casual side and you need a way to dress it up a super simple way is to add some accessories. Some layered necklaces and a cute bracelet is guaranteed to add a some style to your outfit without you having to give up any comfort. Lately I’ve been loving clear lens glasses to pull an outfit together, I can go from looking like I just rolled out of bed to put together and ready to go out and take on the day by adding some frames. The final thing I have become the biggest fan of over the past year are bralettes. I rarely wear the “classic” style bra anymore because why would I when all they give me is pain. I’m sure you’ve all seen the memes where taking off your bra is the best part of your day, but why would you even put something on that causes you pain in the first place?! I get that bralettes aren’t yet designed for people with larger chests but hopefully that’ll change vv soon because everyone should be able to enjoy the comfort and v trendy styles that bralettes come in. My faves at the moment are from Susu intimates, they fit perfectly, look fab and are so damn comfy I don’t want to take them off (that’s where I got the one in the photos, which you can find >here<). Check them out on insta >>here<<. I also have their p.m. mesh bralette in white and I lovvve it.
That’s a few of the ways I mix comfort and style. As always wear what makes you happy and never worry what people will think because if you’re happy everyone around you will admire your confidence.
