DIY Christmas Gift Tags | Blogmas Day 10

Receiving gifts is fab but there’s nothing better than giving gifts, the look on the persons face as they tear open the paper and how excited they are when they’ve seen what’s inside. I’ve always loved wrapping gifts, over the years I’ve managed to develop a few techniques to get crisp corners and sharp edges, give me any shape present and I’ll try my best to wrap it. But this post isn’t about all that it’s about the little tags you put on the present, this christmas I wanted to make my own instead of buying the store printed ones. I love the personal touch making your own gift tags gives the present, I think it shows the person that you put that little extra time and thought into their gift. I had so much fun drawing little designs on the gift tags and trying out fun ways to mix it up and make the tags a little more meaningful this year.

All of them were so simple to make and they turned out super cute. For the majority of them I just used pens to draw the designs, I am by no means an artist, in fact I can’t draw a stick figure to save my life but these were really easy and look super festive as well. Feel free to re-draw my designs or draw some of your own. It’s fun to draw things that relate to the person you’re giving the gift to, like if they loved coffee and you drew a coffee cup. I just think that sort of stuff is so thoughtful and cute and I really appreciate when people do those kind of things for me.

For the snowman I decided to dust off my old paint set, I used a little bit of white paint on a sponge brush and dabbed it on to give a rough texture. Then I just drew on the little details.

To make the tree and bauble gift tags all I did was cut out the shapes in the gift tag and put some wrapping paper behind it, then to finish it off I glued another gift tag behind it to hide the back of the wrapping paper and it’s done. You can make any shapes you want and mix up the wrapping paper.

I love the cute little stacked presents gift tag and this ones also pretty self-explanatory, all I did was cut out little present shapes out of wrapping paper and glued them on, to make them look more like presents I added little details like the bows and ribbon.

There’s my quick and easy personalised gift tags for the festive season, I’m so excited to add these to all the gifts this year and I hope you get a chance to try some out too. As always much love to all of you reading and thank you for supporting me ♡.

Love Sophie x
