Christmas in November

On friday I had my Human Bio exam in the morning which was okay I guess except my bum was killing me, who knew sitting on a rock solid chair for 3 hours could hurt so much haha. Anyway that’s besides the point, after my exam my friend and I went into the city to eat and most importantly go CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!! Well technically not shopping because we didn’t buy anything, more like christmas window shopping. I am always shocked at how early stores get their festive makeovers and line their shelves with christmas decorations and stocking stuffers, but I’m not complaining. Christmas is hands down my favourite time of the year so I’ll take the opportunity to get into the festive spirit as soon as I can.

While we were looking around I thought I’d take some photos to share with you all and hopefully get you in the spirit as well. Christmas in November.. Yes Please hehe.

To start off we went into Pottery Barn, if there’s one thing I love as much as christmas it has to be home wares, I may be 17 but I’m a Middle aged woman at heart. Pottery barn always satisfies my home ware cravings (even though I can barely afford a mug from there) and they have some lovely christmas home wares, which is like killing two birds with one stone (not a fan of that saying but you get my jist). I saw this adorable North Pole Pillow and couldn’t resist taking a snap, it’s so my style, old school classic christmas I just adore it. They also had a whole row of christmas stockings which were all so adorable.

After spending too much time in Pottery Barn (can you even spend too much time in pottery barn though?) we decided to go to Myer. Myer always goes all out in their Giftorium and this year was no exception. I love looking at all the christmas beauty gift packs, mixing christmas and makeup equals perfection. Ever since I was little I’ve loved the mini christmas scenery displays, I love all the little details, from the twinkling lights in the tiny shop windows to the perfectly painted laces on the little ice skates. It’s exactly like every christmas movie right before my eyes in miniature form.

Living in Australia means that at christmas time its boiling hot, no snow at christmas :(. Don’t get me wrong summer christmas is wonderful but I can’t help wanting to experience snow at christmas. Snow in general is so magical to me, it’s like icy stars falling from the sky. To get a little bit of snow in my bedroom I love snow globes. I found the most adorable snow globes in Myer. Now even when I’m sweating it out in my room I can shake a snowglobe and get a little bit of that cozy feeling like watching snow fall outside your window.

Wow just writing this has made me feel so festive!! I just want to watch Home Alone next to the twinkling lights on my christmas tree. I love everything about christmas and any excuse to write about christmas I’ll take. Hopefully you felt a little more christmassy by reading this, and get ready for more christmas posts coming in december, I can’t wait.

Love Sophie xx
